Short Documentary
Doug Rugh is a Master Artist, producing beautiful oil paintings. Surviving as an artist is difficult, and we are given insight into the life and work of this artist. This 7 minute film was done in 3 days, as part of an international documentary challenge. While a complete work in itself, this will be expanded by following Doug and documenting his painting and progress over the next 3 months. This film will be included in a full length documentary of Video Portraits, about the lives of people in and around Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

Short Documentary
On March 1st 2006, an 89-year-old woman, Matty Kahn, volunteers for a Never2Late project, to begin learning to play the cello in a month's time. Having no prior musical knowledge, she is bravely embarking on the path of musical training to rediscover the strong connection between life and music.
Short Documentary
This short documentary looks at how several of Phnom Penh's 20,000 street kids are being helped by Mith Samlanh/FRIENDS INTERNATIONAL. The children's stories range from the simple wish of a young girl to have enough soap, to the bold dream of a teenage boy to help drug addicts kick their habit and find work. Much of the film is told through the life-sized self portraits the children draw of themselves-an art project inspired by the film's title: WHAT I SEE WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES.
