The Devil's Wedding
Dan Cadan 2009
Categories: Narrative Short

Run time: 14 min. | United Kingdom
The Devil and his Bride-To-Be arrive at an eerie and decrepit hotel at a location we will never know and at a time that will never be revealed. They intend to spend more than one night together as they are there to perform the unholiest of celebrations and spend the rest of their evil lives, wicked side by wicked side, cozily roasting in matrimonial hell. The Hotelier is terrified into giving them the 'Penthouse' in which to perform their celebration. Sworn to secrecy by the Devil and his Bride and the threat of death being offered should he break his vow, the Hotelier can do nothing but allow the sacrilegious ceremony to take place. However, all is not rosy in their twisted camp and before they can ring their wedding‘bhell’ and exchange their wicked vows, a cold reality dawns as they realize that none of the guests have arrived. It turns out that the Devil was late sending out the invitations and will now stop at nothing to placate his furious Bride. There is, however, only one man who can help them - the Hotelier. The now-not-so-petrified Hotelier decides a make a deal: sell him his soul, in exchange for his being their guest at the wedding. Stuck between a rock and a hot place, the Devil knows that this is the only way he can make his Bride happy and reluctantly agrees. As a result of the deal, it is quickly evident by his appearance and behaviour that the Hotelier/Priest is not the man he used to be and unfortunately for the Devil, neither is he.
